Gauffs parents withdrew their career to focus on their daughter’s tennis training and dreamed their daughter to become number one tennis player in the US one day. Even though her father has limited tennis experience, he took the responsibility and became her primary coach. Whereas her mother took her homeschooling responsibility.
At the age of 10 she joined Mouratoglou Academy in France. This academy was run by Patrick Mouratoglou. Interestingly Patrick was Serena William’s longtime coach. At 10 years and 3 months Gauff won the USTA clay court national 12.
